I am in a vindictive mood today... and am being easily annoyed. It's just one of those days where I want to tell certain people to "get the f out of my life" HAHAHAHAHAA.
Anyways, these past few days I had a movie marathon of the following films: The Notebook (rewatch), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lost in Translation and the Zodiac (so long for studying).
I shouldn't have rewatched the Notebook... I think the second time around the story seemed pretty cheesy (I didn't cry this time or even remember why I cried so much the first time watching it).. It didn't make it any better that the day before I watched a korean movie with a too-similar plot (poor boy and rich girl fall in love then omg the girl has some sort of memory problem). So yeah.. couldn't buy it anymore.
Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind was okay.... It didn't meet my expectations though... after I read all those reviews praising its story, cast, etc.. the sci-fi stuff was pretty weird haha... and I couldn't really buy the Clementine-Joel relationship.
Lost in Translation!! Became one of my favorite films. I like the simplicity of the story... because it didn't rely on a strong storyline, the movie was able to explore the characters into deeper fields... and also the Japanese culture. I kept tearing because the film was so pretty... In the end, the film just made me feel the need to reflect, so I sat on the couch hugging my knees like Charlotte in the movie as she peers out the windows into the city of Japan and tried to think about my life and then I was like what the hell am I doing and went to sleep... btw spoilers -- why couldn't they have just stayed friends? I'm really angry that he kissed her at the end because it doesn't make sense how they could have fallen in love with each other? Argghh....
Zodiac... omfg. It's creepy man... especially since it's based on a real story. Basically, it's about this serial killer who calls himself the Zodiac and after he starts killing people, he sends all these cryptic letters to newspaper publications and the police to mess around... Very scary, I didn't like the killing scenes.. especially when he stabbed those people... Seriously, I don't know how a person can possibly stab another human being that they don't even know... it's very creepy to think about and I should stop thinking about it :(
Okay, it's only 12:30 AM but I'm very tired... I can hardly keep my eyes open now hahahaa. I'll go sleep soon.. tomorrow need to go to school for open house rehersal FML. Serious waste of time.
